Despite the upsetting finish at last week’s British Grand Prix, reigning World Champion Max Verstappen, is still going strong at the lead of the points table with a wide gap of no less than 34 points between him and his nearest competitor Sergio Perez–who also happens to be his teammate at Red Bull. The Dutchman has shown off his racing skills at every race in the 2022 Championship season, and even though his first few races got spoiled because of engine issues with his RB-18, he has managed to win six times in the ten Grands Prix we have seen so far in this year.

And now, former F1 racer Hans-Joachim Stuck, who used to be active in F1 from 1974 to 1979, pitched in with his opinion on where Max Verstappen is headed to in this season of Formula 1. In the words of the German Formula 1 veteran, Max Verstappen will win the Championship for a second time this season because of his “incredible” performance.

In an interview with Speedweek.com, Hans-Joachim Stuck gushed about Max Verstappen’s racing skills and explained why he has pegged him as the probable WDC winner of 2022.

While speaking of Max Verstappen’s skill in the F1 tracks, Stuck said, “This year I put Verstappen above the others. Max is incredible and will win the title again.”

In the next race, Max Verstappen will be battling it out for the top place on the grid in the Red Bull Ring, Austria. Now, it remains to be seen if the Dutchman will be able to extend his gap from the rest of the racers in the points table or if one of his title rivals will take the coveted spot.
