The 26-year-old further insisted that the team be in a better place in the main race on Sunday and reclaimed his faith in managing the tires. The Dutchman also insisted that the team lacked in one-lap performances but reassured his faith in the race.
I think we should be better in the race and can hopefully, look after the tyres. The car felt good in the race pace yesterday. We've been lacking one lap performance so I hope for more from the race.

Max Verstappen also talked about the pace of the car and added that he would’ve liked a bit more pace from the car as it felt better in the practice sessions to the Dutchman. Verstappen also insisted that the race would be a difficult one and talked about the uncertainty on the main race due to the Las Vegas GP being held for the first time.
The 26-year-old driver also explained that there could be safety car conditions because of the incidents during the race due to the lack of grip.
