Max Verstappen and Co. have taken the pinnacle of motor racing by storm since the start of the 2022 F1 season. Red Bull has quite easily dominated all its rivals, and amidst the team’s growing dominance, Verstappen has admitted that giving less wind tunnel time to his team is the right thing to do.
F1, some time back, implemented a rule according to which the wind tunnel time would be allotted as per the finishing positions of the teams. The higher the time finishes, the lower will be the wind tunnel time allotted to them. Red Bull has the least time for the next campaign because of their current position.
The 26-year-old has made it crystal clear that he is in total agreement with the wind tunnel rule, and he deems it completely fair. He genuinely feels the rule is good for the future of F1.
When you’re the leading team, you have less time in the wind tunnel, and to be honest I think that’s right. It is good for the sport. Time will tell how competitive we all will be next year. The good thing about it is that the rules don’t really change. Whatever you do now teaches a lot for that anyway next year.
Max Verstappen said, as reported by Motorsports Total.com.
Max Verstappen would be the favorite to clinch the title in 2024
While Max Verstappen has shared his opinion about the wind tunnel rule, he has been in menacing form, especially during the ongoing 2023 Formula 1 season. He wrapped up the world championship during the Qatar weekend, and considering his might, he is going to be the favorite to clinch the title again in 2024.
However, it is a common belief in the F1 paddock that Verstappen’s road to the 2024 world title is not going to be as easy as it has proved to be this year. The lights of Mercedes, Ferrari, and even McLaren are expected to be coming up with a potent car for next year. All these teams also have championship-caliber drivers in their arsenal.

Max Verstappen is the hottest property in the world of F1 currently, but it does not take much time for the sport to change someone’s fortunes. F1 has always been an unpredictable sport, and who knows, Verstappen might be seen struggling against some of the other drivers next year.
