Max Verstappen has annihilated the competition in 2023. The Dutch driver has won eight of the first ten rounds of the season. The two-time world champion has won the past six consecutive rounds in the dominant RB-19. Now, Verstappen has revealed that the Milton Keynes-based team will be bringing in significant upgrades at the Hungarian GP.

The reigning world champion mentioned that a new upgrade package will be introduced at the Hungaroring. This is the penultimate round before the F1 summer break. Verstappen was optimistic that these new updates can help the team extract more pace out of its car in the coming races. He told the media, “We have a couple of upgrades this weekend, hopefully, they will do what we expect them to do so we can find extra performance for the upcoming races.”

Max Verstappen opened up about the challenging Hungarian GP in 2022. The two-time world champion came out on top at the end of the race after the pit wall made the right calls at the right time. He stated, “Last year it was tricky to make the right calls with the incoming rain and colder temperatures, but as a team we remained calm and made all the right decisions.

The Dutch driver has won the last six races of the season. This provides a great opportunity for Verstappen to match, if not break, the record for the most consecutive wins in F1. Currently, this record is held by Sebastian Vettel, with a staggering streak of nine races in 2013. Now, a decade later, another Red Bull driver might be on the path to achieving this massive feat.

Although, rivals have begun to close up to the Milton Keynes-based team. Verstappen did not disappear in the lead at the British GP, with Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton just a few seconds behind the Red Bull. However, rivals are aware that there is a lot of work left to be done if they truly want to fight Max Verstappen for a race victory.

Thus, Max Verstappen has mentioned that Red Bull is bringing upgrades to the Hungarian GP. The Austrian team has continued to enjoy a massive lead this season. However, Milton Keynes is eager to maintain its advantage throughout the season with this new update plan. However, it remains to be seen how the team performs for Verstappen and Red Bull.
