Max Verstappen has won the first race of the 2023 F1 season in Bahrain. He was at his absolute best during the event and has just started from where he left at the end of the 2022 season.

Max Verstappen was in sublime form from the very first lap of the race. Moreover, because of his brilliant pace out front, there was not even a single moment during the race when he could have felt a bit challenged.

The Dutchman is immensely pleased with his performance, and while sharing his thoughts at the end of the race, he added, “We have a good race package. It will depend track from track, but thanked Red Bull for the hard work over the winter break.”

Looking at his response, it seems that Verstappen has the utmost confidence in the machinery that he has got underneath him this year. He is aware of the hard work that was done during the winter and has, thus, also taken the time to show gratitude towards his whole team.

Max Verstappen was easily able to blow away his competition during the 2022 F1 season. With the way things have started for him this year, there is a very good chance that the same could happen again.

During the Bahrain GP, he ran an extremely comfortable race as after a certain point, no one was visible in his mirrors. This shows the caliber that Verstappen has got as a racing driver.

It is no wonder why he is considered one of the best-ever drivers to have stepped foot in F1. With the first race of the 2023 campaign out of the way and taking into account the dominance of the prolific Dutchman, would anybody be able to get close to him this year?

Sergio Perez finished the Bahrain GP in second with the same machinery but was nowhere near his teammate during the race. Max Verstappen means serious business this year, and it will be very difficult for the other 19 drivers to pose a serious challenge to him.

Next up is the Saudi Arabian GP, and considering the rich vein of form that the Red Bull starlet showed in Bahrain, it seems very much possible that he would be able to win that race as well.
