Max Verstappen is performing at his finest in F1 right now. The Dutch driver has dominated the sport since the start of the ground-effect era in 2022. The 25-year-old is now closing in on a third consecutive world championship this season with a massive lead over his competitors. However, Verstappen insists that winning multiple titles is not a target for him.
The Dutch driver won his first F1 world championship in 2021 after a hard-fought battle with Lewis Hamilton that went till the final lap of the season finale in Abu Dhabi. Verstappen went on to win the following year’s title as well with a third championship almost inevitable. However, the 25-year-old remains adamant that winning several titles is not very different from winning your maiden championship in the sport.
Max Verstappen claimed that one day he will grow tired of racing in the sport with multiple championship victories not enough to motivate him to continue. He said, “I’ve been racing since I was four years old and at one point, enough is enough. For me, it’s not about winning seven, eight titles, nine titles. Once you’ve won it, it’s always the same thing at the end of the day.” This opinion is far different to arch-rival Hamilton who is looking to win his eighth F1 title in the future.

Max Verstappen hates traveling for F1’s massive calendar
Formula 1 is a global sport with races in over 20 countries. As such it is no surprise that the paddock is traveling constantly to make it to the next race. However, Max Verstappen is not fond of such journeys. Subsequently, the Dutch driver has revealed that he is open to the idea of doing things outside of F1 that do not require him to travel throughout the year.
The Red Bull driver said, “I already don’t enjoy traveling like, how we are doing it… I think I can easily do other stuff as well while not traveling that much at one point. Because at one point it’s enough.” The two-time world champion has expressed his desire to venture outside the pinnacle of motorsport and look into new projects that could excite him once he is done with F1.
Thus, Max Verstappen believes that winning several F1 world titles is not much different from winning a single championship. However, the Dutch driver has continued to dominate the sport and inch close to a third back-to-back title this season. It remains to be seen when Verstappen will be satisfied with his championship tally and perhaps open a new chapter in his life.
