As McLaren continues its climb to the very peak of competition in Formula One, their Team Principal Zak Brown is keeping himself occupied in his beloved sport golf. Brown has, previously, voiced his adoration for the sport multiple times. The McLaren team boss recently posted a picture on his social media, taken on a Golf course with the NHL legend Teemu Selanne.

The picture shows Brown alongside the Legendary Ice Hockey Winger enjoying a game of Golf. Teemu Selanne is the highest-scoring Finnish-born player in NHL history. Selanne ended his career with a staggering 684 goals and has now taken a liking for Golf. The caption on the posted image suggests that the former NHL star hosted Zak Brown at the Newport Beach Country Club in California. The caption was written by the McLaren Team Boss on his social media.

The McLaren team apparently houses two Golfing fanatics – Zak Brown and Lando Norris. Norris also has claimed Golf to be his favored retreat from the world of Formula 1. The Boss-Driver pair were spotted at the 2023 Ryders Cup earlier this year as they visited the famous event as spectators. Norris is also slated to show off his golfing abilities ahead of the much-awaited Las Vegas Grand Prix as a Netflix crossover event is slated to be released soon.

The inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix has been a highlight on the 2023 Formula 1 calendar, as many await the weekend with bated breaths. Meanwhile, Netflix, known for its impactful docuseries ‘Drive to Survive,’ is set to create an unconventional crossover event between two elite sports Formula 1 and golf.

A new golf tournament, exclusively available on Netflix, is poised to become a major headline event ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix. F1 stars Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz are slated to participate in this distinctive tournament, joined by fellow F1 stars Alex Albon from Williams and Pierre Gasly from Alpine. The event follows the success of the two Netflix series which were dedicated to both Formula 1 and golf, named ‘Drive to Survive’ and ‘Full-Swing’, respectively.

While Norris and Sainz have demonstrated their enthusiasm for golf multiple times before, the golfing skills of Albon and Gasly remain relatively unknown. It will be interesting to see how the F1 drivers compete off the track as they take up sticks instead of steering wheels.
