Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz reigned supreme in a strategic masterclass of a race. Ferrari looked strong all weekend and managed to emerge as the Victor on race day. Mercedes had to settle for a podium for Lewis Hamilton despite having the pace for the win. They posted a congratulatory tweet on X (formerly Twitter) to commend Carlos and Ferrari.

Mercedes took advantage of a late pitstop and put the Medium tires on both their cars. The Silver Arrows were absolutely flying on the Medium set of tires as they set in pursuit behind Lando Norris and The Scarlet Ferrari of Sainz. Sainz’s strategy of backing Lando into the Mercedes duo was the differentiating factor. The strategy worked. Ferrari took their first win of the season.

We threw absolutely everything at Carlos and Ferrari tonight – but it just wasn’t enough. The deserving winners this weekend” says the tweet. Lewis Hamilton grabbed the last spot on the Podium following George Russell’s disappointing last-lap crash.

Mercedes apparently didn’t join Lewis Hamilton’s Podium celebration

Lewis was seen sitting alone next to his W14 as Lando and Sainz celebrated with their respective teams. Many eagle-eyed fans spotted how Lewis Hamilton wasn’t too high-spirited, claiming that the team didn’t even show up for their driver’s podium.

When we checked the broadcast footage, the fans seemed to have a point. Mercedes were notably absent from the podium as McLaren and Ferrari celebrated their drivers.

The Singapore GP podium is his 196th. Lewis is expected to cross 200 podiums this season. Our hearts go out to the legend as this isn’t the first time Mercedes has been absent from his Podium celebrations.
