Mercedes is a German Manufacturer but their F1 operations are based in Brackley. Alongside that fact, both George Russell and Lewis Hamilton are British which puts the whole idea into perspective. With so many ties to the UK, it is not a surprise to many as the team mourns the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Lewis is a 7 time Formula One world champion but along with that he also holds the honour or being a Knight. He received this honour a year after he won his 7th title in the pinnacle of motorsport.

Lewis Hamilton himself has met and interacted with the Queen quite a few times and has shared his experiences with us. 2009, the then young gun was presented with an MBE by Her Majesty which is one of the nation’s honours. After this, Lewis Hamilton was also invited by the Queen to have a private lunch where she ended up teaching him some dining etiquette.
