The Briton has been talked up as being a driver who would make the team return to its former glory like what Michael Schumacher did. Now, Gerhard Berger has commented on how the Briton would work his way around at the Scuderia.

The German joined the prancing horses back in 1996 and developed the team around him. This led to five consecutive championships between 2000 and 2005 for Ferrari and the seven-time champion. With the announcement of another seven-time champion deciding to move to Maranello, the Austrian has shared insights on how the Briton would work around the political situations at his new team.

Berger shared his experience as during the German’s time, he had thought this wouldn’t last long. However, as everyone knows by now, Schumacher’s dominance is regarded as one of the best and the same could be said for the Dutchman.

The reigning champion prepares himself for the upcoming season in his dominant Red Bull. Last year, the 26-year-old had broken multiple generation-old records and won 19 out of the 22 races that were held. Fans along with Berger expect him to do one better this year and dominate the field yet again
