Mick Schumacher will race in the World Endurance Championship in 2024 after spending a year on the sidelines. The German driver was left without a seat in F1 after two seasons with Haas and decided to switch to a reserve role with Mercedes. Now, Alpine Chief Bruno Famin has revealed what would happen if Schumacher was called up by the Silver Arrows.

Famin mentioned that the German’s contract makes it clear that in such a scenario Schumacher would fulfill his duties for Mercedes. As such, fans could see Schumacher fill in for Lewis Hamilton or George Russell if an opportunity presents itself. Thus, Alpine would need to find a replacement driver in this situation.

The contract is clear, the agreement with Mick is clear, if he has the opportunity to drive in Formula One to replace George or Lewis, he will go to Formula One.
