Toto Wolff’s Mercedes has fallen down considerably from the lofty standards they have set in the past, and because of that, they are yet to win a race in the 2022 F1 season.

However, the Brackley-based outfit has shown improvement in recent races and has come close to winning a Grand Prix. Toto Wolff wants the team to carry forward the momentum and hopes that his team, would at least be able to put up one race win in front of its name in the remaining two races.

This is not the only target that Mercedes has got in the upcoming races, they also have a chance of snatching second place from Ferrari in the Constructors Championship.

Wolff feels that it would be a great boost for the team if they are able to beat Ferrari in the Constructors, but also believes it is not the only thing that counts.

While stressing on the same, he added, “The most important thing is to master the car and have a fast car on the track.”

The Mercedes F1 team has struggled for the most part of 2022 with its lesser machinery and found it extremely difficult to cope with the pace of Ferrari and Red Bull.

However, the team has shown gradual improvement this season and has come close to winning a race on multiple occasions in recent races, the package has started working well and its drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell have been pleased with the improvements on the W13.

Mercedes has started showing glimpses of its past self, and in the upcoming two races, the German team is going to do everything in its power to land a race win, which has eluded them so far in the season.

However, it is easier said than done, as Red Bull and Ferrari would also be looking to close out the 2022 campaign with race victories to their names, and considering all this, would Mercedes really be able to get the better of the front runners?
