Max Verstappen has been close to unstoppable this season. He has won races by starting in 10th and also in 14th position on the grid proving that he has gotten what it takes to win the championship yet again.
With the Italian Grand Prix weekend underway it is also a reminder about Max’s results in Monza. The Dutch driver has only managed a best finish of fifth racing in the temple of speed. It is a curse that the driver wants to break this weekend with Ferrari and Mercedes right behind them.
In an interview, Max Verstappen went on to praise Valentino Rossi and went on to talk about how similar their fanbases were with the former having the orange army and the latter having the yellow army. And it is obvious since both their driver’s fanbases follow them around to every race in the world. Her is what Max had to say about the whole situation.
“Valentino was impressive” Max Verstappen on Valentino Rossi
The Red Bull racing driver further went on to praise the Italian hero. “Valentino was impressive. It was amazing the races of Valentino Rossi, the yellow people, I followed them often. Let’s say that the colors helped us a little, orange is noticed as its yellow. However, my orange is not everywhere, here in it’s all red for example,” he said.
Max Verstappen and Valentino Rossi have managed to procure the craziest of fanbases and it is clearly visible by how passionate their fans are. When it comes to teams, Ferrari seems to have the most long lasting and dedicated fans due to their history but when it comes to drivers, Max Verstappen has set the bar in Formula 1 while Valentino Rossi has left a legacy behind him in MotoGP.
