The 2023 Met Gala was a star studded event attended by many famous personalities including F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo. The Met Gala is a super exclusive annual event held by held by Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. The aim of the event is to raise funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Celebrities and Designers collaborate to create some of the most extraordinary outfits for the same.

Lewis Hamilton has been known to be a frequent attendee of the Met Gala but was nowhere to be seen this year. However, Red Bull pilot Daniel Ricciardo was present as his successor. A man who shares the same love for fashion, Daniel dressed to impress. He was seen wearing a Thom Browne three-piece tuxedo with wide pinstripes and chunky patent-leather boots.

F1 fans expected Lewis Hamilton to make an appearance but were completely shocked to see Daniel Riccardo at the Gala instead. Whilst he was there, Daniel also ran into Golden Globe award winning actress Anne Hathaway. Their interaction revealed that she is a big fan of Formula 1. Ricciardo was not the only Aussie present at the Gala.

Nicole Kidman, Baz Luhrmann, Hugh Jackman and Margot Robbie were few of the Aussies that made an appearance at the event. After stating that the event was “too formal” in a podcast in 2021, seeing Daniel at the event was surely a surprise. However, fans could still not get over the interaction that he had with Anne Hathaway.

Daniel Ricciardo has a lot of free time compared to last year as he doesn’t have an active F1 seat. The Australian will be on the sidelines this year and will take part in multiple promotional events with Red Bull Racing. There are still questions whether Daniel will be able to secure a seat for 2024. Nevertheless, Ricciardo is as joyous as he can be while he enjoys his year long break from driving.
