Lewis Hamilton, the former 7-time F1 world champion, has not been able to have a go at the coveted title since the end of the 2021 season. Back then, he had a grueling contest with Max Verstappen that went down to the last race of that campaign. While it has been a struggle for Hamilton since, his former teammate, Nico Rosberg feels that he would be in the title fight in 2024.
Rosberg being a former teammate of Lewis Hamilton, understands very well how the Brit operates. Moreover, keeping everything in view he genuinely feels that Hamilton will be seen locking horns with Verstappen and co. during the 2024 campaign of the pinnacle of motor racing.
While discussing it in detail ahead of this week’s Abu Dhabi GP, he made it clear that he has been keeping close tabs on the progress at Mercedes under the new regulations era. He firmly feels that Toto Wolff and Co. would be able to provide Hamilton with a title-worthy car next year.
There’s a good chance that Hamilton will be fighting for the world title next year. They’re starting to understand how the car works, yes, they’re still inconsistent, but they’re slowly starting to get it all figured out. I’m happy when Mercedes wins because that was my racing team in the past.
Rossberg said, as reported by Racingnews365.
Lewis Hamilton has given a really good fight to Sergio Perez in 2023
While Nico Rosberg has envisioned a bright future for Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton, the latter has done a brilliant job behind the wheel of the unpredictable W14 this year. Despite the problems with the car, Hamilton was able to give Red Bulls’ Sergio Perez a run for his money in the 2023 drivers championship.
Hamilton was in the battle until the Las Vegas event, but because of his misfortunes during the American spectacle, has now unfortunately fallen out of the second place running. The Brit’s total currently stands at 232 whereas Perez has charged his way to 273 with only one race remaining.

However, despite this, Lewis Hamilton can be incredibly proud of the job he has done this year for the Brackley-based team. Moreover, he can carry forward confidence into the 2024 campaign of the sport. Next year could turn out to be a memorable campaign for Hamilton and company.
