Max Verstappen’s latest addition to a long list of records came at Monza, where he broke Sebastian Vettel’s world record of nine consecutive F1 victories. While Red Bull are certainly enjoying this success, rival teams are trying their best to downplay their achievements. Former Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg recently spoke out against his ex-boss Toto Wolff who had also underplayed Verstappen’s feat.
Wolff, in his statement, claimed that no one cares for these records and they just exist to put up on Wikipedia. Rosberg countered Wolff by saying that him, along with everyone else, does care about the records, even though Verstappen himself has stated that he does not care about winning the ten races.
“We all care about records, of course. And we think a lot about records. So even Max who always says ‘no, I don’t care about 10 races.’ What does he do when he gets out of the car? He puts both of his hands up and points to the world that that’s 10 in a row,” Rosberg said on Sky F1’s podcast (H&T: Crash.net)
Rosberg also took a personal aim at Wolff as he suggested that he be more ‘gracious’ in his comments. He believes that Wolff gave the statement out of frustration since Mercedes did not perform up to the mark at Monza. He said, “…So I think Toto was just a bit down there and that made his answer a bit darker and not quite as gracious.”

Nico Rosberg reveals whether he would have teamed up with Max Verstappen in his prime years

A driver’s chemistry with his teammate plays an important role in F1. From discussing strategies to personal morale, many contributing factors are affected by who the driver is teamed up with. Recently, Nico Rosberg revealed whether he would have teamed up with Max Verstappen as he completely dominates the grid.
Currently, being Verstappen’s teammate is probably the most taxing job on the grid. With the huge gap between him and Sergio Perez, it is clearly evident Perez is struggling a lot. Rosberg honestly revealed that he would not want to team up with Verstappen due to his dominance. Rosberg admitted that no one can beat Verstappen currently as he said that it would be impossible for him to go to Red Bull and overshadow him.
“No one in the world will have a chance against Max… I personally would not do it because he has so much experience in that team, it’s almost impossible for me in my prime to go in there, and expect to be able to dominate him. That’s not realistic,” said Rosberg.
