The worlds of Formula 1 and MotoGP and intricately intertwined as most of the F1 racers and the Moto riders are always seen hanging out with each other, in parties or having fun at some adventure sports camps to satisfy their adrenaline cravings. Now that the Formula 1 2022 season has gone into summer break, seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton wanted to spice up his holidays with a surfing session with none other than 2021 MotoGP World Champion Fabio Quartararo.

23-year-old French talent Fabio, who replaced the legendary rider Valentino Rossi at Yamaha in 2021 and went on to achieve the MotoGP Championship title in his debut year with the factory racing team, is a close friend of many F1 racers like Lando Norris, Daniel Ricciardo, and Charles Leclerc. And in recent news, it appears that Fabio is close to Lewis Hamilton as well as the two World Champions decided to take their races off the racetrack and to the waters as they showed off their surfing skills at Lewis’ hometown in Silverstone.

When the fans spotted the two racing Champions indulge in their JetSurf sessions, the videos of the British racer Lewis Hamilton and the French rider Fabio Quartararo started doing rounds on the internet. Only a few months prior to this, news broke out that Fabio would test for Mercedes , becoming the fifth MotoGP racer to do so in the history of the two sports. Fabio Quartararo was also spotted having “Sunday night dinner” with Lewis Hamilton a few years ago when the French rider posted about it on his social media page.

As of now, Lewis Hamilton seems to be in a comfortable position in the points table although the current F1 2022 season did not start off so well for him. The racer achieved a P2 finish at the Hungarian Grand Prix, taking full advantage of Ferrari’s flaws, and after the summer break is over, Hamilton is expected to come back in an even better form. Fabio Quartararo is also on his way to secure a second MotoGP Championship title as he is now leading the points table with a gap of 21 points between him and Aleix Espargaro, his closest title rival.
