Ferrari came close to winning the Las Vegas GP

Scuderia Ferrari had high ambitions for the inaugural race in Sin City. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz locked out the front row in Qualifying despite the challenge put forth by Max Verstappen. Although, Sainz dropped down the order due to a 10-place grid penalty. Nevertheless, it seemed that Leclerc might finally take his first win of 2023.

Verstappen and Leclerc battled it out throughout the Las Vegas GP. Albeit the two collided at Turn 1 with the Red Bull receiving a five-second penalty. Charles Leclerc seemed to have the upper hand on the Dutchman for the majority of the race. However, Max Verstappen showcased his stellar pace as he went past the Ferrari in the latter half of the race. As spectators including Rihanna watched the Scuderia fall behind the three-time champion.

Charles Leclerc went off-track as he chased the Red Bulls in the ending stages of the race. Subsequently, the Monegasque driver lost all chances of taking a victory in Sin City for the Scuderia. As such, Ferrari guests including Rihanna would have to go home without seeing the Prancing Horse on the top step of the podium.
