The 2023 United States Grand Prix is just around the corner, and ahead of the mega event, the celebrities have started arriving at the COTA track. One of those well-renowned personalities that have turned people’s heads since arriving is the Royal Highness Prince Harry. He is present at the track as a special guest of the Mercedes F1 team.
Prince Harry has been a fan of the pinnacle of motor racing for a long time but is attending an event after a decent gap. The last F1 race that he attended was way back in 2014, and today, he has made an appearance again after a span of nine long years. Since he arrived at the COTA track, the media and the fans have been unable to take their eyes off him.
While His Highness is excited about the upcoming on-track action, one interesting fact is that when he last attended an F1 race, Lewis Hamilton came out as the victor in the event. Moreover, considering the latter’s starting position for the US GP, Prince Harry could prove to be Hamilton’s lucky charm once again.

Hamilton has looked incredibly strong so far during the ongoing race weekend, and the W14 has worked really well around the 5.513 km track. One other thing that is going in Hamilton’s favor for the race is that the reigning world champion, Max Verstappen, will be starting his exploits from sixth place on the grid in comparison to his P3 starting position.
Lewis Hamilton has a golden chance to end Mercedes’s 2023 win drought in front of Prince Harry
While His Highness Prince Harry would be seen showing his full support for Lewis Hamilton and George Russell during the upcoming event, the former 7-time world champion has a huge opportunity to score Mercedes’s first win of the 2023 F1 season. The Brackley-based team has so far struggled with one issue or the other.

However, since the last few races, Mercedes’s car has started producing potent performance, and Hamilton has, on multiple occasions, made it known that he is immensely pleased with the car balance, especially during the ongoing Austin weekend. The Brit genuinely feels he has a chance to win the United States Grand Prix.

It has been a long time since Lewis Hamilton won an F1 race, and during the upcoming 56-lap race, he will have the chance to kill two birds with one stone. However, considering the might of Verstappen in his RB19, the race will not be like a walk in the park for him. For Hamilton, the key would be to secure the race’s lead going into Turn1.
