“Red Bull can chill the champagne,” Christian Danner puts his money on Max Verstappen to win his second consecutive world title

It’s only September but Max Verstappen already has a 109 points lead over Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez. This reminds us of the level of dominance Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton used to show in their heyday. The reigning world champion has won the last three races in a row and could easily make it 4 on the bounce at the ‘Temple of speed,’ keeping in mind the layout of the historic track at Monza.

After two difficult races at Silverstone and Red Bull Ring, a response was needed from the Dutchman and he certainly did not disappoint. After his struggles during Qualifying at the Hungaroring, there was a mountain to climb for him to win the race. But, Max Verstappen showed the world why he is the reigning world champion as he came back from P10 on the grid to secure the top spot on the podium.

We saw yet another masterclass from the flying Dutchman at Spa. After taking a engine penalty, Max started from P14 on the grid but wasted no time to dash through the field and put another victory under his belt. The cherry on the top was the win at his beloved circuit at Zandvoort in front of his home fans. The 3 victories on the trot have allowed him to sit comfortably at the top of the championship.

Max Verstappen will not be stopped by anyone on the grid, according to Christian Danner

Christian Danner believes that no one will be able to stop the irresistible force that Max Verstappen is. Speaking on this topic, Christian said, “He preliminary decision has long since passed. Verstappen is the facto world champion.”

It will take a little while before it is mathematically correct. Who is supposed to catch up with the Dutchman? No one. Red Bull can soon chill the champagne.”

But Christian Horner still has his feet on the ground. Before the Dutch GP, he said, “I think as far as championship tables look, they obviously look really healthy. But things can change very, very quickly. We saw that: I think we were 46 points behind when we left Australia and within a couple of races had managed to turn that around.”

It’s definitely a near insurmountable lead for Max but Christian Horner is definitely right to stay focused. We saw earlier in the season as to how quickly things can change and there is still a considerable amount of racing action left in the season.
