Carlos Sainz has had a disappointing 2022 F1 season for the Ferrari Formula One team, and ahead of the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix has admitted that Red Bull is on a whole another level this year, compared to the rest of the teams on the grid.

Carlos Sainz on a personal note has only managed to win one race this season in Silverstone, and barring that, hasn’t done enough to do justice to his talent behind the wheel of an F1 car.

The Spaniard has had a tough second year at Ferrari where he has dropped a large number of points because of his own mistakes and sometimes due to the reliability issues of the F1-75.

Ferrari is considered the second-best team on the 2022 grid, but despite this fact, Carlos Sainz is fifth in the Drivers Championship behind George Russell. Moreover, when it comes to the driver’s team battle, the 27-year-old is behind the prolific Charles Leclerc by a margin of 32 points.

Things haven’t panned out the way Sainz had hoped for at the start of the season, however, with six races remaining on the 2022 calendar, he is going to do all he can to get a few decent finishes for his team.

Carlos Sainz and Ferrari after 16 rounds, are also out of the fight for both the Championships but the Spaniard is determined to make a mark in the remaining six races of the season and wants to get the better of Red Bull.

While talking about what lies ahead, Sainz said, “I am capable of fighting for wins. I think in the last races we have been fighting for pole positions and wins, although it is true that Red Bull is at an incredible level and they are making it very difficult for us.”

If we can improve the car and the race pace a bit and find a few tenths, then we can come back in the fight to win. That’s the goal.”
