Formula One grapples with a predicament: the unparalleled prowess of world champion Max Verstappen. His relentless dominance in the Red Bull car raises questions during this season’s mid-break. At the Belgian Grand Prix, Verstappen’s victory from sixth on the grid showcased his stranglehold. Overtaking teammate Pérez, he finished 22.3 seconds ahead, even easing up. However, according to Red Bull’s Chief Designer Craig Skinner, their determination to win is still high.

Craig Skinner remarked that Red Bull’s car development would never be finished. He mentioned that even after the RB18 had clinched championships and numerous victories, they had taken a moment to assess. They deliberated on what could be improved with the car and what alterations were necessary. The focus was on making the car better based on the driver’s input, and this approach was applied to RB19.

“We are never ever done,” said Skinner. “Even when RB18 won the championships and loads of races, at the end we sat down and said: What’s wrong with this car? What do we need to do to make it better? What did the drivers want out of this car faster and then we implemented that in RB19,” he further continued.

Formula 1’s ratings dropped a lot this year because fans find it boring, with Max Verstappen and Red Bull always winning. The team from Milton Keynes is super strong this season, winning all 12 races. Verstappen won 10, and Sergio Perez in the other Red Bull won the rest two. F1 is trying to make things more interesting. They thought about changing how races happen and some rules. But only one team keeps being the best.

In the early 2000s, it was Ferrari and Michael Schumacher. Then, Renault and McLaren also became really good. Later, Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel were on top, followed by Mercedes with Lewis Hamilton. Now, it looks like Red Bull is back at the top, winning both championships in 2022 too. For quite a while, one-sided races have frequently occurred in F1. Yet, many of the younger fans these days consider the sport unexciting.

In 2023, Max Verstappen’s historic F1 season with Red Bull remains dynamic, poised for more records. With the second half ahead, fans anticipate his awe-inspiring performances. Verstappen’s boundary-pushing defines this season, ensuring it’s etched as remarkable in F1 history.
