“Sebastian Vettel has achieved so much in F1”: Max Verstappen showers praise on four-time F1 champion
Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen may shared the stage together at Red Bull.
The Formula One faithful were in for a shock today as Sebastian Vettel announced his retirement from the sport at the end of this season. The four-time world champion recently created an Instagram account and through his newly launched social media platform, he announced his plans of departure from the series at the end of the 2022 season.
The world of Formula One was completely shocked by the sudden announcement. Following that, wishes started to pour in from all the Formula One teams as well as all the different drivers.
Reigning World Champion Max Verstappen gave his take on the retirement decision and said, “At the end of the day, he (Vettel) has achieved sp much in Formula 1 and is a great ambassador for F1. He is getting older and retirement was coming. It’s never nice when it comes but it’s time to enjoy.”

As expected from Verstappen, he kept it very honest and clear and spoke about how much Sebastian Vettel has achieved in this sport. Vettel made his F1 debut in 2007 with a one off appearance for BMW. The next season he was called up to Torro Rosso during the middle of the season, and he kept performing consistently.
Sebastian Vettel became F1’s youngest race winner, a title that is currently held my Max Verstappen, in 2008 as he won the Italian Grand Prix with Torro Rosso. The next season he went to Red Bull and that is where he achieved immense greatness. He won four consecutive World Championships from 2010 to 2013.

In 2015 Sebastian Vettel joined Ferrari and in the 2017 and 2018 season he battled Mercedes-Benz driver Lewis Hamilton for the title but lost out on both occasions. Vettel left the Scuderia at the end of the 2020 season to join Aston Martin, his current team. It is definitely a saddening moment for the Formula One fans but as Max Verstappen said, the retirement was inevitable and it is only fitting to celebrate and enjoy the last few races of the F1 Great that Sebastian Vettel is.
