Sebastian Vettel’s nostalgic return to his iconic RB-7 in the Formula Nurburgring has brought up many talks of him making a potential return to Formula One. Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko hinted at his return as he believes that Vettel hasn’t completely settled in retirement yet. When asked about this, Vettel denied completely ruling out his return in the future.
F1 has seen many personalities in its history to have come out of retirement and into the sport. Vettel’s name might be added to this long list of drivers, which includes Fernando Alonso, Kimi Raikkonen, and Jenson Button. Vettel said that he cannot commit to any one decision so far from the future. He said that the conditions would have to be a certain way for him to make his come-back.
“I can’t say no, because you never know that… It will probably depend a lot on when. Obviously this is not endless, because at 36 years old I can’t say that I will do it in ten years. Maybe I’ll think about it after time has passed, but it will also depend on the challenge,” Vettel told Sky Sports F1 (H&T: SoyMotor).

Sebastian Vettel applauds Max Verstappen and Red Bull for breaking his record
Max Verstappen broke the legendary record of nine-consecutive victories at Monza with the same team Sebastian Vettel achieved in 2013. As Red Bull and Verstappen go into the Singapore GP hoping to make this season a perfect run, Vettel recently showed his appreciation for the team’s achievements.
Verstappen has been flawless this season. His being 145 points ahead of Sergio Perez probably says everything about his form. Vettel praised the efforts of the whole team, but especially Verstappen, whose consistency seems to impress Vettel the most. He said that Red Bull is currently at a level where they don’t have any competition, and they should be appreciated for it.
“You can only applaud. The performance of the whole team, but especially that of Max, who is consistent every weekend, is amazing. It’s a level where the competition is way off. You have to acknowledge that and you have to leave it that way,” Vettel said.
F1 now heads to Singapore for its 15th race of the 2023 season. While Red Bull heads into the Grand Prix with a big lead, chasing teams like Mercedes and Aston Martin are surely looking at the race as a big opportunity to close the gap with the reigning champions.
