Having substituted for Alex Albon for the Italian Grand Prix, Nyck de Vries proved his worth and managed to outclass Nicolas Latifi to finish the race in 9th place earning two massive points. With there still being questions regarding Alex Albon’s recovery process, it is tough to say whether the Thai driver will be able to take part in one of the most physically demanding races on the F1 calendar. If the situation arises where Alex can’t compete, Nyck will get the chance to do a 2nd outing with Williams.

2) This will be Sebastian Vettel’s last time racing at the Marina Bay Circuit

Out of all the outings that Formula One has done here, Sebastian Vettel has proved his worth and won the race 5 times making him the most successful driver on this track. Seeing him race for the last time on what is possibly his strongest circuit could make his fan’s eyes water a bit.

3) Max Verstappen could potentially seal his 2nd world title under the lights in Singapore

Having won 11 out of the 16 races so far this season, it’s safe to say that the World Championship is his for 2022z Although people are wondering how soon could he grab the bragging rights. Well, he is currently 116 points ahead of his nearest rival Charles Leclerc. If Verstappen outscores the Ferrari driver by 22 points, Perez by 13 and Russell by 6, it would effectively make him the 2022 world champion.

It will be interesting to see how everyone performs at the Singapore GP which is the most physically demanding race of the season. Drivers prepare especially for this race so that they can be able to finish the race at least. With temperatures of well over 30 degrees and humidity levels above 70 per cent, it’s a massive change of weather for the drivers. They lose around 3 to 4kg of weight during the race through sweating alone.
