But soon, the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz was seen standing still out of a corner, and it looked like he had some sort of an engine or gearbox issue, which made him retire early from the race. This gave George Russell a chance to step up. Charles Leclerc was fighting for the lead of the race when all of a sudden his engine smoked, and he had to retire from the race as well, meaning a 0 point finish for the Scuderia.

Although Mercedes managed to have a 3 – 4 finish, they were seen having a lot of porpoising, which almost felt like the car’s suspension was going to break down. Lewis Hamilton even said that the car was killing his back mid-race.
