F1 fans were treated with a host of celebrities making an appearance at the Miami GP which included the likes of David Beckham and DJ Khaled. The hype for the race has been unreal and it was a star studded affair in the US. The race started in a feisty manner which saw Max Verstappen clinch 2nd position from his ex team mate, Carlos Sainz, going into the first corner and setting up his fight against Charles Leclerc.

Apart from that, we didn’t have that many overtaking maneuvers during the race and it seemed like it was going to be a dull affair but it was again fired back into life after Lando Norris’ crash with Pierre Gasly. The crash meant that the safety car was out which in turn set up a grand stand finish. Charles Leclerc gave it a fair go to clinch the win from Max Verstappen but the reigning world champion proved to be way too strong.

In terms of the quality of the track and the conditions, it wasn’t ideal but the glitz and glamour definitely made up for the what was a dull affair on the track in Miami. We had a lot of celebrities who could have stolen the limelight but to everyone’s surprise it was Martin Brundle. The commentator couldn’t recognize Paolo Banchero and mistook him for NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes. He even mistook Venus Williams for Serena.

DJ Khaled was in his element when being interview by Brundle. He said, “We in Miami, this is my home, the best city in the world and the whole world is here for this beautiful event, F1, family, fun, good energy, superstars, icons.”

Martin Brundle was not able to get the interview of David Beckham and after being shunned by him, he said, “That’s the second time he’s blanked me. I didn’t get a free-kick in that one.”

But eventually he was able to do that. David Beckham, in his interview, said, “It’s amazing, it’s what Miami does best. It’s a sporting town and an entertainment town. I think today is incredible and it’s going to be amazing,” as reported by express.

Martin Brundle stole the show with his hilarious but stupid interviews and the best part was the fact that the celebs didn’t hold back to give it back to him for not doing his homework.
