In the Canada Grand Prix, 8-time consecutive constructors’ champion Mercedes had a great weekend. Christian Horner, the team principal of Austria-based racing team Red Bull Racing, sees the team coming to fruition and is considering the 2021 chief competitor for the following race at Silverstone. Ferrari is also expected to put up a fight, according to Horner.
Mattia Binotto, Maranello-based racing team Scuderia Ferrari’s team principal, hasn’t said much about enhancements yet, but he has said that he expects a large upgrading kit from Red Bull Racing.
Christian Horner acknowledges Mercedes’ progress
“I’ve heard that there will probably be some upgrades for Ferrari at Silverstone. So that will be interesting,” said Horner about Ferrari bringing in some upgrades to the next Grand Prix, the British Grand Prix in Silverstone.
The fight between Ferrari and Red Bull rages on, but Mercedes may be on the verge of working in conjunction. Lewis Hamilton triumphed on the podium for the second time this season, and after multiple races, he yet again knocked out his colleague George Russell, who ended in P4 five seconds later.

This is a good finish for Mercedes this season, and Horner was not unimpressed. “The pace of Mercedes at the end of the race was very strong. I think they can be a factor to be reckoned with at Silverstone,” added the Red Bull team boss.
