Toto Wolff has recently shed light on Mercedes’s mixed outing in Belgium and ahead of the fast approaching Dutch Grand Prix has indicated that the team is raring to go for the Zandarvoot adventure.

Mercedes was not able to get anywhere near the high-flying Red Bull team at Spa and what caused them major worry was the pace difference between the two teams.

However, with Spa behind the Brackley-based team, the Austrian has confirmed that the Silver Arrows have learned a few lessons during their last outing and are looking to set things right during the Dutch Grand Prix.

While talking about the team’s Belgium outing, Wolff said, “Belgium was a challenging weekend for us as a Team, but those weekends are the ones that really fire you up and make you dig deeper.”

There were such big extremes across the weekend; from the pace differences on Saturday and Sunday to the difficult first lap for Lewis and George’s late charge for a podium.”

The 50-year-old has made it clear that his team is all charged up for Zandarvoot and is going to try their best to put their best foot forward and show progress.

In Belgium, George Russell finished P4 but was way behind Max Verstappen, on the other hand, Lewis Hamilton was not even able to complete the first lap of the race.

Wolff has admitted that Mercedes is well aware of the problems that the team faced in Belgium and has indicated that over the last few days they have been hard at work to find solutions.

While talking about the learnings from Belgium, Toto Wolff added, “Thankfully we don’t have long to wait until we can bring utilize and maximize those learnings.”

“What will make the difference for the rest of this season is how quickly and effectively we can continue learning, to deliver our best performance this year and next.”

The Zandarvoot circuit is well known for its peculiar characteristics, and Wolff believes it will be interesting to race on the twisty layout and the kombocht, which will become part of the DRS zone during the coming weekend.

While talking about the circuit Wolff said, “we’re excited to be back there and to take on the circuit’s challenges with this year’s car.”

The German team is ready to take on the upcoming challenge and considering the woes that the team faced in Belgium, it will be fascinating to see how they will perform on the Zandarvoot circuit.
