“They are getting in the way,” Ralf Schumacher warns Ferrari to be wary of Mercedes’threat

Ralf Schumacher feels that Ferrari need to up their game following a strategic error at the Monaco GP
Ferrari had a dream start to their season with two wins out of the first three races and a podium in all. They tricked their whole fan base to believe a title is more than possible this season. But things didn’t take a lot to take a turn for the prancing horse. Everything started to change after Imola and the Italian team managed to bottle quite a lot of wins after the one in Australia. With only four wins this season in the first 13 races, Ferrari could now count itself out of the championship.
Red Bull on the other hand has managed to get everything right this season. They aren’t the fastest car around but the consistency and perfect strategy they enter the track with have won them a lot more than they would have expected. Red Bull is moving towards a fairly easy second world championship thanking around the mistakes Ferrari did.
But the Maranello-based team isn’t yet safe with a second position, Mercedes have been wonderful in the last few races. They are feared to overtake Ferrari with a much slower car on the track. Ralf Schumacher points over the incoming fight for Ferrari.
“Mercedes is now getting in the way and becoming a threat to Ferrari, taking a lot of points away from Leclerc and (Carlos, ed.) Sainz,” said Ralf.

Ralf Schumacher sees a little hope for Ferrari

With a point differential of 100 points in the championship, Red Bull could easily take the win only managing a podium every race. Only a lot of Bad Luck can now take away the trophies from the Austrian team’s hand thinks Ralf.
“As far as the championship is concerned, there is little hope for Ferrari at the moment. Red Bull is doing so well that a lot would have to happen to change that,” Ralf praised Red Bull.
“Red Bull needs a lot of bad luck in the second half of the season for an exciting battle for the world title,” concluded Ralf.
Charles Leclerc is 80 points off to Max Verstappen in the driver’s championship entering the summer break. This lead is the most since 2011 between Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber, with 85 points.
