Lewis Hamilton, after seeing the back of Ferrari and Red Bull for most of the 2022 F1 season, has finally managed to break the barrier and got a P2 slot by finishing ahead of both the rival teams.

Moreover, the elation at the Brackley-based team has increased by 10-folds after the Sao Paulo GP, as its other driver, George Russell managed to secure the first win of the team during the current campaign.

The scenes at the end of the race were worth every penny between Hamilton and Russell and the former while dwelling on his and the team’s outing as a whole added, “Firstly, congratulations to George.”

The result at Interlagos, means a lot to Lewis, as he has had the first-hand experience of seeing the back of Ferrari and Red Bull throughout the campaign, and is relieved that all the efforts of the team have finally paid dividends.

While Lewis Hamilton had a fine ending to the Brazil GP, his outing did not get off to the best of starts as he collided with his arch-rival, Max Verstappen, and sustained a bit of damage on the car.

Moreover, their collision caused both drivers to drop down on the grid, but Hamilton sustained relatively less damage as compared to Verstappen and was able to make up for the lost places.

While talking about his incident with Max, Hamilton sarcastically said, “You know how it is with Max, so…“

Lewis Hamilton indirectly pointed to the intense battles they had during the 2021 season and blamed the Dutchman, for being overly aggressive when they came in close proximity to each other during the Grand Prix.

With a race win finally, under the Silver Arrows belt, the last race in Abu Dhabi is going to be an epic showdown, and it will be fascinating to see whether Lewis Hamilton would also be able to win a race this year or not.
