Lame’s journey to stardom was far from conventional. He lost his job at a factory in Italy during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. Despite his father’s urging to seek alternative employment, Khaby Lame turned to TikTok, where he spent hours crafting his now-famous videos. His ascent to stardom was entirely organic, devoid of the artificial growth tactics often seen on social media platforms.

In 2021, Lame made headlines when he visited the Ferrari team in Monza. During his visit, he found himself in an unexpected role as he helped Ferrari F1 driver Carlos Sainz figure out how to sit in his race car comfortably. Sainz was grappling with the challenge of entering the cockpit, and Khaby Lame, in his characteristic style, offered a brilliantly simple solution, much to the delight of fans.

With an estimated net worth of $1 million, Khaby Lame’s fame extends beyond his digital presence. He is not just a social media sensation but also a dedicated Ferrari enthusiast, as evidenced by his previous visit to the team. During this year’s Italian Grand Prix, Khaby Lame was spotted in the Red Bull garage, adding a touch of entertainment to the event.

What sets Khaby Lame apart is his minimalist approach. He communicates humour through his facial expressions and silence, accompanied by his signature ironic smile and hand gestures. This simple yet effective style has endeared him to a vast audience. Apart from his online persona, Khaby Lame is also pursuing acting and English lessons, harbouring dreams of achieving the ultimate accolade in the film industry—an Oscar, much like his idol, Will Smith.
