The 52-year-old looked quite optimistic about the current plight of their arch-rivals. Moreover, Wolff reckons that he could knab a few members from the clutches of Red Bull. Toto Wolff’s verdict on Lewis Hamilton’s sudden decision to leave Mercedes
It has been over a month since it was revealed that Lewis Hamilton would be parting ways with Mercedes at the end of the 2024 season. Moreover, it shocked the Mercedes camp as the Englishman had signed a contract last year. Subsequently, this has left Wolff in a tough position to fill the void that will be left by the Brit.

While addressing the media, the Austrian stated:
I have nothing negative about him[Lewis Hamilton], I was surprised only by the timing. But throughout your career there are times when you want or need to try something new. In any case, I will leave the seat free as much as possible...Toto Wolff
The Mercedes supremo elaborated that he has no hard feelings against Hamilton. However, he was blind-sighted by the announcement’s timing as he had firm faith in Hamilton. Moreover, this has laid unwanted pressure on Wolff, who is now in search of the perfect replacement.
Thus, Toto Wolff will be evaluating the CVs of all the drivers. Moreover, it is anticipated that who will take the seat at Brackley will be revealed by the end of the summer break.
