“We owe him an eighth world championship,” Toto Wolff claims Mercedes is fully-determined to give Lewis Hamilton a Championship worthy car

Toto Wolff, the Mercedes Team Principal, has come forward ahead of the British Grand Prix and talked about the former 7-time F1 World Champion, Lewis Hamilton. Wolff has made people aware that Mercedes will everything in its power to provide Hamilton with a Championship-worthy car in the upcoming years.
Toto Wolff is well aware of the unprecedented work that Lewis Hamilton has done for the Brackley-based team. He ardently feels that the team is in his debt and owes him a lot. The 38-year-old joined Mercedes in 2013 and since then, won several Formula 1 World Championships over the years.
The 51-year-old while praising his driver, told Sky Sports, “Lewis Hamilton is clearly the most important personality in our sport, he’s so multi-dimensional, he’s not only a racing driver World Champion but he is trailblazing for diversity, sustainability, and there are no limits for Lewis Hamilton as a racing driver as an entrepreneur, as a politician.
“I think he is one of the most spectacular personalities and characters I have ever met. We owe him an eighth World Championship.” The Austrian has made it clear that Mercedes is dead serious about providing with a competitive enough car with which he could gun for his record-breaking eighth World Championship.
Lewis Hamilton has been an absolute legend for the Mercedes F1 team
The Mercedes Formula 1 team did not have a mighty reputation in the sport until Lewis Hamilton decided to join the outfit in 2013. Since his joining the team, he has changed their fortunes, and today Mercedes is considered one of the top teams at the pinnacle of motor racing. Hamilton has won 6 titles with the Toto Wolff and Co.
While Mercedes is going through a rough patch in F1 since the dawn of the new regulations, the team is not willing to throw in the towel just yet. They are going to try their best to get on top of their problems and come up with a Championship worthy car as soon as possible. Moreover, there is a growing belief that the team could prove to be competitive next year.
As far as this year’s Formula 1 season is concerned, Mercedes is in a three-way fight for second place in the Constructors Championship. Lewis Hamilton has been in sublime form this year and considering that he is supported very well by George Russell, would they be able to finish ahead of Aston Martin and Ferrari at the end of the season?
