The Mercedes F1 team has not been able to conjure up a challenge for the F1 world championship since 2021. The current set of regulations has not proven kind to them but despite their incessant setbacks, Mercedes boss, Toto Wolff has come up with some positives regarding the production of the W15.

2024 is being targeted as the year by the Brackley-based team where they have to put up a championship fight. It has been two years since Lewis Hamilton and Co. were seen fighting for the world championship and Toto Wolff feels, that his team has to deliver no matter what next year.

Toto Wolff and Co. have to meet Lewis Hamilton’s expectations

While Toto Wolff has oozed immense optimism regarding the development of the Mercedes W15, he and his team really have to come up with the goods next year and in the coming years, to keep Lewis Hamilton happy. The Brit has high expectations from the Mercedes crew and he desperately wants them to hand him a potent car.

Hamilton signed a contract extension at Mercedes until the end of 2025 during the recent F1 season, and this shows, how much trust he has in the abilities of the people on the German team. Considering this, the onus is really on the former 8-time constructor’s champions to deliver.

Lewis Hamilton is still one of the best drivers on the current F1 grid and can go wheel-to-wheel with just about anybody in the right car. He has got all the skills in his arsenal to mount up at least one more title challenge but, to do that, he will require some assistance from the Mercedes team.
