Toto Wolff has been working with Mercedes for almost ten years now. Ahead of the 2024 season, news has flourished in the paddock about the Austrian signing yet another contract with Brackley to continue bossing the team. Regardless of a mediocre 2023 season, Wolff prepares the team for the upcoming challenges.
Mercedes, under Wolff, won multiple drivers’ and constructors’ championships. As a result of these successful results from the 53-year-old, Mercedes signed a three-year contract with Toto Wolff. This makes the Austrian to be the second-longest Team Principal in a particular team behind Christian Horner.

In addition to Wolff’s contract extension, Brackley also provided the two British drivers George Russell and Lewis Hamilton with contract extensions for at least till the end of 2025.
Hence, Mercedes needs to put their head in the game, minimize mistakes, and provide the drivers with the chance to contend for the world championship. Wolff also discussed the ‘conventional’ approach that Mercedes would implement in the challenger for the following season.
The W15 is to be unveiled on February 14 at the Silverstone Circuit
After the W14’s mediocre performance in 2023, the team was seriously working over the challenger for the following season. The team including Toto Wolff had talked highly about the development of the W15 and explained the ‘conventional’ approach to the car.

Hence, presumably, the W15 will see a lot of changes as compared to the challengers developed for the previous two seasons. The W15 challenger will be revealed to the public at the team’s home circuit Silverstone in England on 14th February.
The regulation changes in 2022 proved to be fatal for Mercedes as the Brackley fell quickly in the pecking order since then. Additionally, the drivers only managed a single race victory in the past two seasons. As a result, the W15 for 2024 needs to take learnings from the legendary W11 from 2021 as that challenger was termed as one of the fastest cars ever built in the history of Formula 1.
Mercedes has the potential to challenge Red Bull at the forefront as displayed on multiple occasions in 2023. The team needs to put their heads in the game and seriously work over their form in 2024. This would enable Mercedes to return to their winning ways and help Wolff’s resume look even more shinier than before.
