The Hungarian GP was an absolute rollercoaster of a race, and the podium was filled with pure joy and excitement. Max Verstappen was on fire and took home the victory with an astonishing lead of over 30 seconds ahead of Lando Norris, who managed to fend off a late surge from Sergio Perez to secure P2. The fans were in for a treat as they witnessed some incredible racing action.

Red Bull again showed dominance this season, maintaining an unbeaten winning streak in every race. They even managed to break McLaren’s long-standing record, which had been held since 1988. Verstappen’s sensational win marked his seventh victory of the season, and he extended his championship lead to over 110 points ahead of his teammate Sergio Perez.

Now, here’s where things took a quirky turn during the podium celebrations. Lando Norris, the playful character, has this unique way of opening his champagne on the podium. Instead of the usual method, he loves to give the bottle a good bang on the rostrum, causing the cork to pop open with a bang. It’s become quite a signature move for him.

But this time, as fate would have it, a moment of playfulness turned into an unexpected accident. Lando playfully attempted to repeat his Silverstone shenanigans, where he knocked the trophy off Max Verstappen‘s rostrum, but this time, things took a wild twist. As he banged his champagne bottle, the fragile Hungarian GP trophy slipped from its perch and shattered into pieces.

It’s worth mentioning that the Hungarian GP trophies are handmade and crafted from delicate ceramic materials. So, it didn’t take much for the trophy to break into bits from the height of a podium fall. It was a genuine accident, and Lando didn’t intend to break it.

However, as is the way of the Twitterverse, some folks couldn’t resist making wild speculations. Some saw it as an intentional act, linking it to Red Bull’s triumph over McLaren’s record, suggesting it was an act of vengeance. But it was an unfortunate accident, and Lando didn’t mean any harm.
