McLaren F1 team is rich in history when it comes to the world of motorsports. The papaya orange colour has become iconic for the team as they move into the 2023 F1 season. When the team was sponsored by Marlboro, they had the legendary red and white livery for more than 20 years. Fast forward to 2017, traces of orange started coming back into play.

Ever since then, the team had had many changes to their livery. However, the signature Papaya orange colour remains as a constant. McLaren’s 2023 drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were present at the event to showcase the team’s newest challenger. Some of the team’s oldest employees were also present at the event where they got a massive round of applause from the crowd.

World renowned youtuber Vikram Singh Barn who is famously known as Vikkstar was hosting the car launch event. McLaren CEO Zak Brown and newly appointed Team Principal Andrea Stella spoke a few words. The livery however had a lot of mixed reactions from the fans. Ones which can be seen through the reactions that F1 fans had on Twitter.

McLaren will be going into the 2023 F1 season with a new rookie joining the team. After parting ways with Daniel Ricciardo at the end of the 2022 season, the team is aspiring be get back to competing for wins this year. With rookie Oscar Piastri joining the Papaya squad, it will be interesting to see how he performs in his first ever season in the pinnacle of motorsport.
