Valencia MotoGP 2022 : When and where to watch the title deciding finale between Pecco Bagnaia and Fabio Quartararo?

Fabio Quartararo and Pecco Bagnaia

After a crazy season full of ups and downs, MotoGP will race for the final time this season at Valencia for the title decider between Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo and Ducati’s Pecco Bagnaia. At the start of the year, no one could have predicted that it would come to this by the time we’re at the last race of the season.

With the first half of the season being dominated by Fabio Quartararo, a healthy lead was produced which later on went to shambles as Pecco Bagnaia came in clutch to put his foot down to claw back on the Yamaha rider’s lead. The MotoGP title could have been decided way before the final few races if Fabio’s form continued for the second half of the season. Unfortunately, a series of incidents along with races where the Yamaha rider just didn’t have the pace led to Pecco taking full advantage.

Coming into the final race of 2022, the gap between Fabio Quartararo and Pecco Bagnaia is at 23 points with the latter having the upper hand. To win the title, all that the Ducati rider has to do is finish the race in 14th or higher. With the Italian’s worst finish being 15th this season, there is a low chance it will occur again. There is also a slight possibility of Bagnaia retiring from the race which could end up with Fabio taking the win and title. That being only if his Yamaha had the pace to stay at the front.

When it comes to tackling the title decider weekend, It makes sense that both the riders will have a different approach to it. Fabio Quartararo will come to Valencia with nothing to lose and a mindset to back that. On the other hand, Pecco Bagnaia has everything to lose and needs to be careful, calm and composed in order to finish the race in any position above 14th.
