The 2024 F1 season is just around the corner and ahead of it, the Stake F1 team and Visa Cash App RB (AlphaTauri), have been indirectly, fighting for the worst team name on the grid. Both teams have received immense criticism for their choices.
While the Stake F1 team faced its share of bashing early in the ongoing month, the Red Bull sister team recently announced its new name, and since they have received immense criticism from the fans. Ex-F1 driver, Van der Garde, is also not pleased with it.

The Dutch driver has deemed the name as highly inappropriate and while talking about the same via his X account, he said:
I know I’ve just retired so I don’t wanna sound like everything in the past used to be so much better, but to my opinion “Visa Cash App RB” isn’t an appropriate name for a Formula One team.

Looking at the reaction of der Garde, it is quite clear that he is with the fans regarding AlphaTauri’s new name. He ardently feels Visa Cash App RB is just not a good enough name for a team competing in the premium class of motor racing.
Visa Cash App RB F1 team will have several eyes glued on it during 2024
While the Visa Cash App RB has been brutally bashed for its new name, the team will see immense attention on them during 2024 for varied reasons. First, because of how the car would perform in the F1 midfield, and second, because of its driver dynamics.

Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda are in the running for the 2025 seat at Red Bull alongside Max Verstappen. Considering this, the Visa Cash App RB duo will try their best to get the better of each other as much as possible this year.
As things stand, it is believed that Ricciardo has the backing of the higher-ups at Red Bull to join the team next year, but it would mostly depend on how he performs during the upcoming campaign. Moreover, if Tsunoda is somehow able to outperform the Australian driver, then he would be in a prime position to secure the seat.
