Only a few days ago, the F1 world was entirely up in flames over the news of Lewis Hamilton‘s shift to Ferrari. And then, there came the sudden reports about Red Bull placing their star Team Principal Christian Horner under investigation due to some internal complaints of misbehavior. But away from the din and bustle of the world, Alex Albon decided to take a winter trip to Los Angeles with girlfriend Lily Muni He as he remained completely detached from all the ongoing drama.
Because of the reports of Lewis Hamilton and then on Christian Horner, there has not been a single moment of peace and calm in the F1 town despite it being the off-season. But Alex Albon has mostly kept away from the spotlight as he had perhaps wanted to spend some personal time with his golfer girlfriend. The Thai-British driver was probably in the United States for the launch of the livery for Williams’ 2024 challenger, the FW46 in New York. The reveal happened on February 6, and that is when Albon jetted off to LA with Muni He.
Alex Albon and Lily Muni He had started dating in 2019 all thanks to the hit Netflix docuseries ‘Drive to Survive’. Lily, who is a golfer on the LPGA tour, watched the Netflix show and wanted to get to know Albon. The two have inseparable at most of the F1 races where Lily Muni He makes it to the paddocks when she is not playing golf. Recently, they were in Los Angeles and they shared photos from their week in the US for the fans to see.

In the F1 headlines from last week, fans found out that the FOM rejected Andretti-Cadillac’s bid for entering the sport, Lewis Hamilton was leaving Mercedes after 12 years to go to Ferrari, and that Christian Horner was under investigation by the Red Bull personnel. At such a crazy time, even though Albon has remained quiet, his team, reportedly, have not.
On the same day as the announcement of Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari move, a news headlines started doing rounds in social media that claimed Red Bull were considering Alex Albon for Sergio Perez’s seat in 2025 since the Spaniard’s contract is coming to an end in this current season. But later, FIA accredited journalist Thomas Maher has said the reports were a ruse set up by Albon’s team to make Mercedes take interest in him.
In other news, it can be said that Alex Albon has been performing perfectly in his role as a Williams driver ever since his F1 comeback. The young racer was previously employed at Red Bull but he lost the seat to Sergio Perez in 2022. Now, owing to his great display of skills, it is highly possible that he might get a call to go back to Milton-Keynnes for F1 2025. It remains to be seen if such a scenario does come up in the future seasons.
