AlphaTauri driver Yuki Tsunoda is undoubtedly a community favorite driver, accumulating numerous fans since joining the grid in 2021. The 23-year-old is known for his friendship with former teammate Pierre Gasly, and fans celebrate the duo’s get-togethers.

Tsunoda’s F1 career is going well, as he was the highest point-scoring driver for the team throughout the season, earning more points than his three teammates throughout the year combined. Tsunoda was the primary reason behind AlphaTauri’s success in managing eighth place in the Constructors’ Championship and extended his contract till the end of 2024.

Tsunoda is also known for his various quirks that he occasionally reveals during interviews, such as his hate for working out in the morning. Tsunoda is an aspiring chef, wishing to open a restaurant when he concludes his F1 career, but the Japanese driver may have considered a career change to drumming. Tsunoda showed off his drumming skills in a video uploaded by AlphaTauri on X.

Yuki Tsunoda asserts the necessity to perform in the 2024 season

The 2024 season is going to be a breathtaking year regardless of the action on the racetrack itself for Formula 1. The driver grid will be going into turmoil as most contracts on the grid expire at the end of the season, promising several team switches for the 2025 grid.

Tsunoda is part of this chaos, but more so due to the Red Bull seat he is vying for. The primary candidate is his teammate Daniel Ricciardo, who was formerly on the team and got more points in 2023. Tsunoda asserted the need for support to prove himself hopefully worthy of the coveted Red Bull seat alongside Max Verstappen.

This will be the year when I show that I have everything in me to be a top F1 driver. To make that happen, I will have to go all out and I need to be able to call on everyone's support. So thank you to everyone who has already supported me last year and thank you also to everyone who will support me next season.
Yuki Tsunoda said, as reported by RacingNews365

Tsunoda has already had some great results with the AlphaTauri team, but has significantly failed to be the top driver in the team in two of his three seasons with the Faenza team. The Japanese athlete will have to prevail over his more experienced Australian teammate in 2024 if he wants to further his career.
