WATCH: Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc meet with Billboard chart-topping DJ Marshmallow ahead of the Las Vegas GP
Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc met with American DJ Marshmallow ahead of their appearance at the Las Vegas GP.
The Las Vegas GP is set to be an entertainment extravaganza thanks to the enormous funds that the Liberty Media are pooling into organizing it. This is the first time in history that a race is being organized over a 3.8 mile distance at the famous Vegas Strip. The events of the weekend kicked off with a massive opening ceremony that saw internationally acclaimed artists such as J Balvin, Bishop Briggs, Keith Urban, Tïesto, and several others set the stage in Vegas on fire. And the Ferrari duo of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc followed their appearance at the opening ceremony up with a happy run-in with American DJ and music producer Marshmallow.
The Las Vegas GP is being set up to be a huge event that will rake in a revenue that is several times larger than that of the SuperBowl. Naturally, all the big names in the entertainment and sports industry are expected to make an appearance at the paddocks during the weekend. Thus, when some fans spotted Ferrari posting DJ Marshmallow’s photo with their racers, it was not a surprise to anyone. Marshmallow has already been associated with Formula 1 on some previous occasions as he performed at the 2022 Singapore GP concert and was also present at the 2019 Abu Dhabi GP.
Having collaborated with popstars like Selena Gomez and huge bands like Bastille, Marshmallow is a big name in the US. His appearance at the Las Vegas Grand Prix will surely be just what F1 needs to get its name to all the households in America. For a long time, the pinnacle of motorsports has been viewed as a primarily European sport with almost no presence across the pond except for the United States GP in Texas. But now, the FIA have initiated two larger-than-life races in Miami and Las Vegas which are expected to attract several celebrities who can tour the paddocks and meet with the racers.

Ferrari racer Carlos Sainz claims Las Vegas GP might be a Singapore repeat for him
Over the 20 races that have already taken place in this season, Red Bull has dominated 19 of them. But only in Singapore did Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz manage to do the impossible and get the race win over Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. He believes that the Vegas Strip being a new track for all the racers is an advantage which can get him another Grand Prix win.
Carlos Sainz spoke [as reported by RacingNews365] with confidence as he gave the predictions for his outing in Las Vegas.
[I have] better hope than recently mainly because the truck looks probably a bit more suited to us than recent tracks. Long straights like in Monza, tight corners, like in Monza or Singapore. I think our car should be better suited than recent events. And hopefully, that gives us a better opportunity.
In other news, Sainz’s first appearance on the Las Vegas GP was less than impressive all due to a manhole. He crashed into the obstacle during his lap for the Las Vegas GP free practice session. Due to this reason, there was a delay in the scheduling of the Second Free Practice. And the most current news states that the event will go on without any of the audience present in the grandstands for ‘logistical reasons’.
