Formula one had arrived to race at the home of the Orange last weekend where Max Verstappen and his team were victorious. Alpine F1 driver Fernando Alonso is among the lot that is surprised by the increase in Red Bull’s pace after the first half of the season. The team did not look very competitive at the start of the weekend following a disappointing Friday but Verstappen made it up by grabbing pole on Saturday and then crossing the chequered flag first on Sunday

The team sits comfortably as it leads both the driver’s and constructors championships by a huge margin. Red Bull currently has scored 511 points in the constructors championship with second place Ferrari managing to score 376 points which translates to a 135 point lead. The numbers are impressive and so is the RB18 this year due to which there is a lot of speculation behind the team’s performance.

Fernando Alonso was one of the curious minds present in parc ferme who went to inspect the back of the Red Bull as a lot of people believe that it was where they’re making radical changes to increase performance.

Red Bull has an impressive top speed which has given them a huge advantage and helped them hold their lead in crucial races where the Ferrari’s have been right behind them. But what could be the reason behind achieving such impressive top speeds is what everyone is thinking. The Spaniard went on to check the back if the RB18 as seen in the video but thankfully did not touch the car otherwise it would have resulted in a big fine. Max Verstappen would know about it as he has gotten into trouble for it before.
