Mercedes had revealed their 2024 challenger on Wednesday morning at their base in Brackley. The car was later taken out on track at Silverstone for a shakedown run with Lewis Hamilton and George Russell behind the wheel. Now a video has surfaced suggesting that Hamilton, Russel, and the team principal Toto Wolff raced each other at the shakedown run in Mercedes AMG GTs.
The Silver Arrows became the ninth team to unveil their car ahead of the upcoming season. Some fans quite liked the livery, while others claimed that the team faced an “identity crisis”. The trio was seen racing at the infamous Silverstone and had quite a bit of racing action.

The former champion had a troubled start in his Mercedes GT. Meanwhile, Wolff and Russell had bolted ahead. Despite his stalled start, the Briton did some donuts for the fans present at the track for the W15 shakedown and gave them a moment of joy.
Lewis Hamilton details his expectations for the 2024 season
The 39-year-old enters his 18th year in F1 and his final year with Mercedes. Before moving to Ferrari, the Englishman would want to give one last fight for the title. Hamilton had explained his expectations for the 2025 season at the W15 launch.

The Briton seemed confident about the car that the engineers at Brackley had made. The ex-champion claims that the car would be better than the last few years as the team had learned from their mistakes and now a complete package could be prepared.
Before joining the Italian outfit, Hamilton would want his “last dance” with Mercedes would be one to remember. The team prepares to take on Red Bull, who are the benchmark in the sport due to their sheer dominance.
