Lewis Hamilton and Toto Wolff are a formidable pairing. The two have worked together at the Mercedes F1 team to achieve grand success. Over the last decade, Hamilton has won 6 F1 Drivers’ championships while Mercedes triumphed 8 times as a constructor. Certainly, both Toto and Lewis share a strong bond and are close to one another. This bond was seen once again at the Mercedes W14 car launch.

Mercedes held an online launch for its 2023 challenger. Both Lewis Hamilton and Toto Wolff were integral parts of the event. However, after the launch, Toto confessed to Lewis about crashing into the British driver’s shoe collection at the launch. Surprisingly, Hamilton himself had no idea that he even had these shoes. This hilarious incident was posted by Sky Sports F1 on Twitter.

Hamilton exclaimed, “Ooh nice shoes!” Subsequently, Toto Wolff urged the 7-time champion to guess the owner of the pair. Toto asked, “You know who these shoes are for?” Lewis admitted being clueless about who was the owner of those shoes.

Correspondingly, Toto pointed towards Lewis Hamilton as the person supposed to wear the pair of shoes. Wolff went on to explain the story behind stealing Hamilton’s shoes. The Mercedes team boss mentioned how the team forgot to provide him with shoes for a photoshoot. “They forgot my shoes for the photo shoot.” Consequently, Toto Wolff decided to raid Lewis’s shoe rack for a pair. He said. “So I like them. They were out of your rack.”

This was met by laughter from all three drivers. George Russell joined the conversation and stated his fondness for those shoes. Russell said, “I like the loafers.” Lewis Hamilton then mentioned how George and Toto would certainly like wearing loafers. It seems that the Mercedes team boss shares a similar fashion taste with Russell. Although Hamilton remains unmatched when it comes to the fashion department.

Thus, it seems that Lewis Hamilton was not aware of the shoes on his own rack. However, this is not surprising as usually drivers are given multiple items for a photo shoot. Hence, a driver would not know all the shoes and clothing they are given. Although, no one seems to complain as Toto Wolff got the chance to do the shoot harmoniously, thanks to Lewis’s supposed pair of shoes.
