The F1 2023 season saw the talent of Max Verstappen thrive and dominate like never before. This was the Dutchman’s third time winning the Formula One World Championship, but the fans were amazed since this was the first time that he completely shattered the defences of his rivals to capture victories at 19 out of the 22 Grands Prix that were held. Naturally, one would expect Max to be a very competitive person both on and off the tracks. And his former Red Bull physical therapist Bradley Scanes recently confirmed this fact while speaking at an interview for The Red Flags podcast.

F1 drivers and their trainers are always seen to be thicker than thieves since they spend a lot of time together. Daniel Ricciardo is almost always seen out and about the F1 paddocks with his trainer Michael Italiano. When the Aussie’s F1 contract was prematurely terminated by McLaren, Italiano went to work with Yuki Tsunoda since Daniel was not going to be a regular racer. Charles Leclerc is also spotted on his off-season F1 trips with his trainer Andrea Ferrari. Similarly, it is no surprise that Max Verstappen was quite close to his former physical therapist Bradley Scanes, and the two often indulged in a game of FIFA together.

While speaking of whether Max Verstappen ever got defeated by Scanes at FIFA, the physical therapist said that he has been able to beat the Dutchman after three years of trying. He also answered the interviewers when asked whether Max took the beating well.

Not so well (laughs). They're evenly matched teams (the FIFA teams Bradley and Max played with)--it was Man City and Real Madrid and I was Man City. The score was 5-4, I went like 4-0 and I was loving it but at half time I was like 'oh my God he's going to come back and beat me'.

Max Verstappen regularly streams on Twitch to get rid of off-season boredom

The F1 off-season is currently underway and the fans are almost dying of boredom since there are no Grand Prix weekends to watch out for. But it is not just the F1 followers but also the racers who are craving a return to the racing tracks. And to somehow manage his craving, Max Verstappen has taken to streaming his F1 video gameplay on Twitch ever since he returned from his Switzerland trip with girlfriend Kelly Piquet and her daughter Penelope.

Kelly Piquet is the daughter of former F1 Champion Nelson Piquet Sr. The Brazilian model is currently in Paris for the Fashion Week where she has been invited as a Haute Couture ambassador for Ellie Saab’s show. Thus, Max Verstappen and Penelope are back at home and the fans have gotten glimpses of the 5-year-old playfully irritating Max at time during his Twitch streaming sessions.
