Daniel Ricciardo gives his verdict on RB’s new name

Daniel Ricciardo on the Visa Cash RB Name Debate. Daniel Ricciardo knows commentators are like ‘That’s too long’ and whatever, but the truth is they are helping the team go racing so he is pleased to call it the full name.

I know people are going to shorten it and I’ve already heard RB and whatever. I will say ‘Do as you wish’, but you’ll hear me say ‘Visa Cash App RB’.

Ricciardo said, as reported by News18

The team that began as Minardi in Faenza was formerly known as AlphaTauri and Toro Rosso before its most recent change. However, the switch to Visa Cash App RB has probably drawn the most criticism from both the public and the media.

Some people think the team has sold its soul and abandoned it, leaving it with a nameless identity that won’t mean much when those sponsors finally move on. But whatever the name is racing will matter for the team.
