Lewis Hamilton was on the money from the start to the end of the British Grand Prix and for his efforts was able to manage a well-deserved P3 podium finish for himself and the Mercedes team in front of his home fans.

After his Silverstone exploits, Lewis Hamilton has been getting love from all over the world and also was congratulated by a special someone who goes around by the name of ‘Tom Cruise’.

The Hollywood legend was in Silverstone during the race and was seen in the Mercedes camp supporting the team drivers. While George had an off day at the office, Lewis Hamilton was able to land his W13 in P3 after starting from P5.

After the race as Hamilton was seen with his family, Tom Cruise went up to the Brit and congratulated him on his spectacular performance for the Brackley-based Mercedes team.

The duo had quite a long chat and given the edge-of-the-seat action that everyone witnessed at Silverstone, it was not much of a surprise to see them having a deep discussion about the race.

The final few laps of the race were full of heart-throbbing moments where Leclerc and Hamilton went at each other’s throats and the latter was just able to finish ahead of the Monegasque.

The race was heading towards a pretty placid end but when Esteban Ocon’s car came to a halt with 10-12 laps remaining, the race suddenly burst into life as under the safety car many drivers came into the pits to put on a fresh pair of soft tires for the final dash of the race.

As the race got going after the VSC, Perez was able to overtake Hamilton and then was also able to get the better of Leclerc for P2 but the Brit never lost hope and by the closing stages was able to pip the Monegasque driver for a P3 finish at Silverstone.

The Silverstone Grand Prix was hands down the best race of the 2022 season so far and after the excitement and waves of emotion that the race was able to produce, it is going to be a tough task for any of the remaining races to at least match or do better than the Silverstone spectacle.
