The press conference before the beginning of the French Grand Prix weekend saw an optimistic Charles Leclerc expressing his predictions about Ferrari’s chances for winning this year’s F1 Constructors’ Championship title. He spoke confidently about the advancements that the Scuderia have made in the recent past when it comes to their strategy and their racecar, and he also said that his team is ready to put up a challenge for Red Bull, as they are the leading team in the points table as of now.

In the last two races, Ferrari have seen their drivers take the podium as the race winner since Carlos Sainz brought home the award for his victory in the British Grand Prix, and then Charles Leclerc defeated Max Verstappen in Red Bull’s backyard and clinched the Austrian Grand Prix title. Now, as Ferrari is targeting their first hat-trick since 2019, Charles Leclerc hopes to fend off attacks from their main competitors–the Red Bull duo of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, and also the Mercedes pair of Hamilton and Russell to some extent.
